Abroadmode is a travel connectivity blog operated by Daniel Samer. These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and Daniel Samer ("we", "us") and govern your access to our website and your use of our services.

On Abroadmode you will find comparisons of eSIM data plans for individual destinations, cost breakdowns of eSIM versus roaming, and setup guides. We take part in affiliate programs run by eSIM providers, arranged through affiliate networks such as Impact, and earn commissions through referral links.

By accessing or using our website you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms and accept them. If you reject these Terms, you may not use our services.

We may amend these Terms. We announce material amendments by publishing the new version on the website and updating the "Last updated" date. Continuing to use the website afterwards counts as acceptance of the amended version.

Requirements for using our services:

- You are at least 18 years old, or of legal age in your jurisdiction
- You have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements
- No applicable law bars you from using our services
- Any registration details you provide are accurate and complete

Abroadmode takes part in partner programs run by eSIM providers, among them programs from providers such as Saily, Airalo, Holafly, aloSIM, Nomad and Ubigi, handled through affiliate networks such as Impact. In practice this means:

- Some links on our website are affiliate links
- If you buy a plan after clicking such a link, we may receive a commission
- The plan price you pay stays the same
- Every partnership is listed on our affiliate disclosure page

Our recommendations rest on our own research and our own comparison criteria. Which providers we recommend, and how we rank them, does not follow the size of a commission. We only link offers we consider worthwhile by our own criteria.

Plan details, prices, data allowances and network coverage are provided for information only. We aim for accuracy, but providers change their conditions constantly. Always check the current details directly with the provider before buying.

We take your privacy seriously. The collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

By using the website you consent to the collection, use and sharing of your data as described there. We comply with the relevant data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

All content and features of our website, including text, graphics, logos, icons, images, software and their compilation, belong exclusively to Daniel Samer or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other protective rights.

Prohibited:

Regarding our blog content:
- Our articles are buying advice, not legal or contractual advice
- Roaming conditions, plan prices, data allowances and network coverage change constantly; check the current conditions directly with the provider or carrier before booking
- Some countries have their own SIM registration requirements and their own rules for internet services; check with an official source before you travel
- Assessments of providers reflect our opinion based on our comparison methodology
- Your experience on the ground can differ from our assessment, depending on network, region and device

If interactions are enabled, please use them with care and report suspicious behaviour to us. We may, but are not obliged to, monitor user activity and take appropriate steps, such as removing content or suspending accounts.

THE WEBSITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT GUARANTEES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, IN PARTICULAR WITHOUT IMPLIED GUARANTEES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not promise that:
- The website runs without interruption, securely or free of errors
- Results from using the website are accurate or reliable
- Faults will be fixed

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, NOR FOR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, LOSS OF USE, OR HARM TO BUSINESS OR REPUTATION, ARISING FROM ACCESS TO OR USE OF THE WEBSITE (OR THE INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE IT).

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY UNDER THESE TERMS OR FROM YOUR USE OF THE WEBSITE IS CAPPED AT THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, BUT NO LESS THAN 100 EUR.

You release Daniel Samer and any affiliated companies, officers, agents, partners and employees from all claims, damages, obligations, losses, costs and liabilities arising from:

- Your use of, and access to, the website
- A breach of these Terms
- The violation of third-party rights, such as intellectual property, privacy or personality rights
- Content you post or transmit via the website
- Damage caused by your negligence or intentional misconduct

This release obligation continues after these Terms end and after you stop using the website.

You can close your account at any time, through the account settings or by messaging us.

We may suspend or close your account and your access at our own discretion and without prior notice if, in our view, your conduct:

- Breaches these Terms
- Harms other users or third parties
- Is fraudulent or unlawful
- Is unacceptable for other reasons

After termination:
- Your right of use ends immediately
- We may delete the account and its content
- Clauses meant to outlast termination continue to apply

These Terms are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-law rules.

Disputes arising from or connected with these Terms or the website are settled as follows:

1. Informal resolution: Before any formal proceedings you contact us and attempt an amicable solution for at least 30 days.

2. Venue: If informal resolution fails, the German courts competent for the operator's registered seat have jurisdiction, to the extent the law allows.

3. No class proceedings: Disputes are pursued individually only; you waive participation in class actions.

Mandatory rights under consumer protection law remain unaffected by this section.

We may amend these Terms at any time. When we do:

- The new version is published on the website
- The "Last updated" date above is adjusted
- For material amendments we may notify you by email or through a clear notice on the website

Continuing to use the website after an amendment takes effect counts as acceptance of the new version. If you disagree, stop using the website.

Severability: If one clause proves unenforceable, the remaining clauses stay effective.
